I love any excuse to go on a date with my husband. We have been so busy lately that date nights seem few and far between. I’ve been making a list in my head of possibilities and thought I’d share it with you.
Dinner & a Movie
This is the tried and true date night classic. Whenever my husband and I aren’t feeling creative, this is our go-to because we always have a great time. We like to try new restaurants that we haven’t tried before to make it more exciting. Make sure you have reservations and buy your movie tickets ahead of time because places are always super busy on Valentine’s!
Staycation in your city
My husband and I did this for our first year wedding anniversary and it was amazing! We spent the night at a hotel downtown and it really felt like we were on vacation. We walked around the city and then ate our wedding cake in the hotel room. It was easy, fun, and something I will never forget. For Valentine’s, you could choose a hotel with a spa and get a couples massage package. Dreamy!
Picnic in the Park
Depending on where you live, this might not be possible to do right now. But if you’re in warmer weather it would be a great option! I can’t wait to do this with my husband once it warms up. So romantic 😉
This one will probably seem cheesy to your guy, but I have always wanted to do this!! Haha. If you live near a large city, they usually offer carriage rides around downtown.
Netflix & Chill
We all know that this is really everyone’s favorite thing to do! Haha. No pressure, relaxing, and just cuddling up with your special someone…does it get any better than that? I would say that if you already do this all the time, opt for something different on Valentine’s Day, but if you have busy schedules and rarely get any downtime with each other this might be just what you need.
My husband and I had the chance to do this last week and it was fun! This is not something we would normally go out and do, so that made it exciting. I am a terrible ice skater, but managed to only fall once, ha!
Covered in ice after the fall, ouch!!
