Bump Date: Weeks 22 through 24
It has been too long since my last bump date post here! Time has just been flying by and I’ve been enjoying life and trying to give myself time to relax without putting pressure on myself to blog. I just blog when I want to blog and have spare time π
I will fill you guys in on how I’ve been feeling the past few weeks!
HOW I’M FEELING
Overall, I’m feeling great. Not too different from my normal. Starting at week 20, my hunger took a nose dive for some reason. It was strange because my belly got huge around that time. I don’t know if it there was less space for my stomach, so I got full faster, or what. I was just thirsty all the time. When I drink water throughout the day by itself, it frequently gives me heartburn which is really annoying. I’m not sure how to fix this problem and I need water!
Starting around week 20, I finally felt the baby kick and each week it’s gotten more and more intense!
Somewhere between week 20-22 I got tired of waking up frequently in the night due to being uncomfortable or having to go to the bathroom, so I broke down and ordered this body pillow. It has been LIFE CHANGING. Seriously the best money I ever spent. I have not woken up during the night at all since I started using it. It received great reviews online and it really lived up to my expectations. The grey coverΒ is the best because it is so soft and comfortable.
This past week (24) my pregnancy app said that I might experience leg cramps and pains. I didn’t think anything of it since I haven’t had many other common pregnancy problems. Unfortunately, this happened to me twice this week!! It was the most painful thing ever. Once my alarm clock went off in the morning, I would stretch and then instantly get a horrible cramp in my calf. I was like moaning and groaning and on the verge of tears each time. It was so bad that it woke Luke up each time and he freaked out thinking I was in labor π I’m going to up my water intake and hope this doesn’t happen anymore.
HIGHLIGHTS THROUGH THE WEEKS
Week 21 was very exciting because it ended with our gender reveal party. It was fun finally being able to tell our families the gender and finding out that my sister is expecting a girl!! During week 21 Luke felt the baby kick for the first time which was such a fun moment. It was the tiniest little kick and Luke said, “Is that all?” Haha! I know the kicks will get a lot stronger and easier to feel as the weeks go on. Week 23 I finally ordered my first batch of maternity clothes. If you’re on a mobile device, you can see them on my “Try On” highlight reel here.
BUMP STATUS
The bump is wayyy out there now! I guess it’s obvious to everyone now that I am pregnant because strangers have started asking when I am due haha.
The leg cramps are the worst!!!! I’ve been having them too π Also starting to have a lot of back pain.
Oh no! You need the body pillow asap, haha
