I can’t believe how quickly my due date is approaching. I can now say that I’ll (probably) be having a baby next month, wow!
I’ve had one baby shower so far, received a lot of gifts, and purchased some items, so I wanted to share some of my faves with you. I know that before I even got pregnant, I loved reading baby registry type posts so that I could learn what items are good for the little ones. It is definitely a whole new world and I’ve had to do my research.
Dockatot– I am sooo excited to use this! It is basically a docking station for the baby where they can safely lay without rolling away. I’m hoping I will be able to get some work done on the blog and around the house while he is hanging out in the Dockatot. I had to get it in the carerra marble print, of course. I also registered for the arch with hanging toys that you can attach to it. I figure that will add to the time he will stay happy because he’ll be entertained a little while laying there.
Ollie Swaddle– Babies just love to be swaddled. I’ve learned this from a few books I’ve been reading and seen swaddles in action where I work over the past few months. What’s special about the Ollie swaddle is that it is made with moisture-wicking fabric to keep the baby from getting too hot. It’s super snug and soft, plus it opens at the bottom so that you can sneak in and change their diaper during the night.
Binxy Baby Shopping Cart Hammock– You all know I love to shop and this will help make my Target trips a breeze. Instead of carrying the bulky carseat into the store and putting it in the cart, this little sling goes across the top of the cart. I can easily fit it in the diaper bag and then it will take up a lot less space in the shopping cart, too while keeping baby safe and comfy. It has almost all 5-star reviews on Amazon and good reviews really seal the deal for me.
Baby Shusher– This is another product with great reviews. It literally just makes a constant shushing sound. Seems like a simple concept, but I have read that babies sleep better when they have a constant white noise in the background. This little item is very small and portable compared to a lot of other sound machines and you can even use it in the car.
4moms Breeze Plus Playard– We were so lucky to receive this at our shower! It is amazing and we were sold in about 5 seconds of testing it out in the store. It is truly a breeze to fold up (one step) which is really great when most pack and plays are a nightmare to dissemble. The “plus” comes with a diaper changing level and a raised level for newborns. We do not have a bassinet yet, so the plan is for baby to sleep in the top of this playard in our room when he is a newborn.
Pregnancy Body Pillow– Okay, so this is more of a mommy product, but I can’t live without it now, so I have to keep sharing about it. Once the belly gets big, it is so difficult to sleep, but this makes me so comfortable I can sleep forever (almost too long). I used it on our road trip to Florida and was able to sleep in the car! It has almost 2,000 5-star reviews. If you’re expecting, just do your back & your belly a favor and get this asap.
