I almost called this post “I’ll be Home for Christmas” because we will be at home, but White Christmas also came to mind because I went with a neutral color scheme this year for our Christmas tree and decorations. I have had this vision of a flocked tree with furry ornaments for over a year! We did not have a tree last year since we were not living in our own place, so I shopped the after Christmas sales in 2015 and planned out our future tree, which was fun and made up for not having our own tree to decorate.
Since we shopped outside of season, I was able to get pretty much everything for half off or more which I highly recommend doing this if you are wanting to change your decor theme for next year! Tree trends change over time (sometimes even year to year) so I did not want to drop a lot of money on a trendy tree. All of the ornaments I found last year and then got the actual tree a couple weeks ago for only $30! I actually saw this tree on this blog and it was love at first sight. I couldn’t believe the price! It is out of stock now unfortunately, but I linked it here.
Luke does not like our tree due to it’s lack of color…I caught him trying to hang candy canes on it yesterday to give it a pop of red…haha! I feel bad now, so next year we might have to add a colorful tree that I let him decorate in addition to our flocked tree. I absolutely love the tree and when I look at it when the lights are on it makes me feel peaceful.
I hope you all have had a wonderful Christmas weekend. This year has felt so different because I had to work on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, so we have not celebrated with family yet. We are looking forward to seeing them later this week!
